Peers was established by and for sex workers in 1995, and we so appreciate the support of the Greater Victoria community in walking alongside us for all these years! Here are a number of short videos that other organizations have made about Peers, some of our key partners, and some of the important initiatives that Peers supports (especially around harm reduction).

Rights Not Rescue for Sex Workers — Podcast

Peers Victoria Executive Director Leigh Elliot and Education Coordinator Sarah Smith sat down on Feb. 22, 2025 with University of Victoria Martlet Editor-in-Chief Sydney Lobe to discuss Peers’ work as a resource society created by sex workers for sex workers in Victoria, BC. For 30 years, Peers has been providing outreach, harm reduction, and education services for people in the sex industry. They discuss the on-the-ground services Peers offers, the legal history of sex work, and Peers’ work destigmatizing sex work, misconceptions around sex work, and how to support their organization.
